Lettuce Sauce

Lettuce sauce is a light and fresh sauce, suitable for the summer season (but not only).
It is ideal as a sauce for bruschetta, but also to accompany meat, or for vegetables in pinzimonio.

Ingredients (for 4 people)

  • 100g of lettuce
  • 5 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 glass of water
  • 1 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar
  • 1 potato
  • 20-30g of flour
  • Salt to taste
  • pepper as needed

Instructions

  1. Boil a potato
  2. Once the potato is boiled, put it in a blender with the lettuce, oil, water, balsamic vinegar
  3. Blend the ingredients slowly adding the flour to thicken. The sauce should have a thick and creamy consistency
  4. Add salt and pepper to taste

The sauce is ready to be served. If you like, you can decorate it, for example with a tomato and 2/3 basil leaves as We did.
